In March 2021, Houston City Council approved a facility that can process 1,000 tons of municipal solid waste daily, located in Northeast Houston. This transfer station will boost operational efficiency, cut down environmental impact from collection vehicles, and enhance curbside collection services. PGA design scope included integration with the COH overall IT and Security Infrastructure, schematic design, construction documents, submittal logs, cost estimates, and construction administration. A unique challenge on this project was to relocate the head-end radio equipment from the old warehouse radio room schedule for demolition as part of the project.
