Houston International Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP)

PGA Engineers recently completed the design for the new Mickey Leland International Terminal (MLIT) Terminal D West Pier. PGA scope includes Telecommunications and IT Infrastructure Conditions and Assessment, Engineering and Design for Access Control Systems, Digital Video Surveillance System, and Distributed Antenna Systems for Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Houston Airport System (HAS), and the Transpiration Security Administration (TSA). The new pier will be over 250,000 SF with a construction cost of over $300M.

Additionally, PGA just completed the design for the Re-life/Refresh of the existing Terminal D to extend the useful life of the Terminal building for an additional 15 years. Over 30 Technology Rooms (MDF/IDF) were inventoried in additional to every IT field device which was used to develop the Conditions and Assessment Report which led to the development of a complete design. Construction for both projects began in 2020 and was completed in 2024.
