Sasol, Lake Charles Chemicals Project

Sasol’s Southwest Louisiana employees manufacture chemicals used in the production of cleaning, personal care, pharmaceutical and automotive products at its Lake Charles Chemical Complex near Westlake, Louisiana. Sasol’s Louisiana operations began in 2001 with the purchase of CONDEA Vista’s Lake Charles assets. Sasol has since consistently grown its Louisiana operations, most recently with the construction of its historic $12.9 billion Lake Charles Chemicals Project. Completed in late 2020, the project is one of the largest economic impact projects in the state’s history. PGA Engineers provided project engineering during the commissioning and closeout phase for all TSI systems.
