Terminal D Renovations, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Houston

PGA Engineers provided a design for a Radio IDF and Antenna Farm compliant with the Motorola R56 Standard. Additionally, a Distributed Antenna System (DAS), VHF Air to Ground Service, and Legacy Trunk Radio System was designed to provide Radio and Cellular Coverage throughout the Terminal Building. Once installed, the systems will support airport and airline operations, Houston Police and Fire Departments, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), the FBI and the Harris County Public Safety Radio System. Radio system specifications and drawings for over 500,000 square feet of new construction, renovation and redevelopment were prepared by PGA Engineers to be included with the overall construction package prepared by the architect.

Project

To design a system that supports radio and cell phone coverage throughout the airport terminal in compliance with government and security requirements to improve overall airport security.
