UT Police Department Campus Security Controllers

PGA Engineers is providing planning and design to upgrade the access control system for the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Basic Medical Research Building (BSRB). It is a 20-story building with hundreds of access control doors and field panels that must remain operational during the upgrade. To accomplish this, a survey of every access control device and a detailed transition plan for every door was developed. When complete, the upgrade will resolve system overload and equipment failures preventing door entry through badge reader activated doors, which has been an increasing problem throughout the facility.
